Paradise Online Casino Review

The online casino world has a great selection of huge jackpot games as well; Vegas Paradise offers players a chance to become a big winner with a dozen different progressive jackpots. These tend to grow quickly because they are linked to many other casinos on the software network; if you are a slots player, it makes total sense to take a shot. We've thoroughly reviewed Vegas Paradise Casino and gave it a questionable reputation rating. This casino has some good qualities, but also a lot of negatives because of which it's better to play elsewhere.

In the online casino world, it seems like every theme has been played out. Whether it is an animal theme, a VIP style of branding or the most attractive, Vegas-like look and feel of a casino, it seems like creativity has run out when it comes to naming these sites.

I am sure I have reviewed at least a dozen online casinos with Vegas in their name…and that suits me just fine. As opposed to some of the other themes, I can never get enough pictures of the Strip. That city offers so much excitement to so many different types of players that there is plenty of room for multiple online Vegas brands.

Vegas Paradise Casino is next up on our list of casino reviews; can they live up to the hype of their name? Let’s find out together.

About Vegas Paradise Casino

Vegas Paradise Casino is owned and operated by ProgressPlay Casinos Ltd, and has been in operation since 2014. ProgressPlay own a white label casino software which has many partners, several of which are also operated by this company. As you will see later on, the company doesn’t lean too heavily on their proprietary product for the Vegas Paradise casino.

The company is established and has an office in Malta, and is licensed by both the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission (both license numbers are displayed prominently on their website. This is evidence enough that while they have a software arm, there is unlikely to be any real conflict of interest or else these regulatory boards would not have approved them for licenses.

Who Can Play at Vegas Paradise Casino

With licenses from two of the most prestigious regulatory boards in the gaming industry, the list of restricted countries that Vegas Paradise must adhere to is long. These days, with more and more European countries ring-fencing their players through regulation, it seems harder and harder to find a site that accepts players from all the individual countries. Here is the list of countries that currently are not able to play at this casino:

  • Belgium
  • Belize
  • British Virgin Islands
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Turkey
  • United States

Software Suppliers

Despite having their own software platform to work with, Vegas Paradise casino has made the smart decision of partnering with other vendors to provide a higher quality casino experience to their players. In addition to ProgressPlay, you can find games from Microgaming, NetEnt, and NYX. Bear in mind that depending on where you are accessing the casino from may impact the number of games and titles you see in the lobby. Microgaming, for example, restricts players from Canada, so Canadians won’t see those games listed in the lobby.

Vegas Paradise has no downloadable client for their casino; the games are all available for Instant Play through your browser. The casino heavily promotes that their games are mobile-compatible, so you should have no trouble accessing their lobby screens from your phone or tablet.

The Good Stuff

Jackpots – Become a Millionaire!

We have all seen those pictures from Las Vegas – someone holding up a giant check for an enormous amount, the result of winning one of the progressive slots jackpots. The online casino world has a great selection of huge jackpot games as well; Vegas Paradise offers players a chance to become a big winner with a dozen different progressive jackpots. These tend to grow quickly because they are linked to many other casinos on the software network; if you are a slots player, it makes total sense to take a shot at the big payout.

Security

These days, we have all heard the horror stories of casinos that have shut their doors and taken players money. Even worse are the tales of casinos that stay in business but steal from their players. You are not going to have this issue at Vegas Paradise. You have access to their UK and Malta license numbers, and if something were to go badly for you with the casino, all you need to do is reach out to one of these groups, and the casino will be dealt with. I have a greater appreciation for this safety since one of my accounts at another casino was recently closed for seemingly no good reason.

The Bad Stuff

Payout Limits

I have talked about this before with other casinos that I have reviewed; a casino shouldn’t put limits on how much can be cashed out by a winning player if they already have a pending review time period. Vegas paradise falls down here, as they limit you to $3,000 a week or $6,000 a month for withdrawals. First off, pick one or the other (weekly or monthly) or at least have them match. Second, this money, once the play has been reviewed, rightfully belongs to the player; the casino uses this tactic to try to convince you to play more, although I believe it has the opposite effect in many cases.

Customer Service Complaints

Having a quick peek around some of the online gaming forum sites, it would appear that the Customer Service team at Vegas Paradise could use some work. Complaints about slow response time or no response at all seem to be the most common; most of the issues I uncovered appeared to be from a couple of years ago. Seeing as taking care of customers should be the number one priority for any business, I will reserve the right to keep a watch on this over the coming months before I remove it from the Bad Stuff list.

Game Selection

Table Games

I will say that I am pretty disappointed with the selection of table Games at Vegas Paradise. Given their relationship with several software vendors, I would have thought they would have more variants of games in this lobby. However, most of the main games are covered so unless you are a degenerate like me then you will be happy with what you see:

  • Blackjack Pro Monte Carlo Single Hand
  • Blackjack Pro Monte Carlo Multihand
  • Club Roulette
  • BJ Common Draw Low Roller
  • American Roulette
  • Blackjack Players Choice
  • Classic Blackjack
  • European Roulette Gold
  • French Roulette
  • Multi-Hand Blackjack
  • Multi Wheel Roulette Gold
  • Premier Blackjack Multi-Hand
  • Premier Blackjack Hi-Lo Gold
  • Premier Roulette
  • Poker Pursuit
  • Sic Bo
  • Pai Gow
  • Roulette Diamond Edition
  • Spanish 21 Blackjack Gold
  • Triple Pocket Hold em Gold
  • Vegas Strip Blackjack
  • Vegas Strip Blackjack Gold

Live Dealer

You have a choice with many games at this casino of playing against the computer or against a Live Dealer coming to you via a video feed and a custom studio. If you have played Live Dealer games before then you are aware of the benefits; the games are a little slower, so you get more of a land-based casino feeling. I always encourage people to play the Live Dealer tables; they are going to be around for a long time, and more games will be converted to this format as they grow in popularity. These tables are open with dealers at Vegas Paradise:

  • Roulette
  • Multi-Player Baccarat
  • Multi-Player Blackjack
  • Multi-Player Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Black Jack Standard High Roller
  • Black Jack Standard

Video Poker

This is the most disappointing of the options at Vegas Paradise. The company only has a handful of games available (at least in my country). I can’t understand why a casino limits the number of video poker variants; sophisticated gamblers love to play this game and if a casino wants to attract higher-value players, then pulling in all the video poker options they can find is an excellent way to do it.

Here are the video poker variants currently available across the Vegas Paradise casino:

  • Deuces Wild Poker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • Louisiana Double

Slots

Ah….here is where all the games are! I am happy to see that Vegas paradise is taking advantage of some of the great casino content developed by their software partners; having multiple suppliers ensures that you will find many different themes, pay line layouts and gameplay graphics. I won’t list all the slots available; here are some of my favorite titles:

  • Andre the Giant
  • Anubis
  • Arcader
  • Bar Bar Black Sheep 5 Reel

Promotions

The marketing department at Vegas Paradise has done an excellent job of providing players with an array of promotions starting with their Welcome Bonus and right through to many daily and weekly special offers. Let’s review a couple of them here:

Welcome Offer

I appreciate that Welcome Offers are a dime a dozen, but they are a necessity as far as I am concerned. This is a great opportunity for you to get some additional cash out of a casino, and the play from your first deposit sends you in the right direction for increasing your VIP status.

The Welcome Bonus at Vegas Paradise is 100% up to $200 on your initial deposit. A quick look at the Terms and Conditions shows both sides of this promotion; you have up to 90 days to clear the bonus, which is higher than most sites. However, you also have a wagering requirement of 50x the Bonus amount which is on the high side. As an example, if you made the maximum deposit to receive the $200 bonus, you would have to make $10,000 in wagers to clear the full amount. The best way to take advantage of this is to make a large deposit and play the maximum amount allowed on a per hand basis.

Live Dealer Cashback

I like any promotion the rewards you for losing; obviously, you don’t want to have to claim this offer, but in the case of roulette, it can ease the sting of having played for an extended session without having your numbers come up.

The promotion is straightforward: you have to be playing the Live Dealer roulette games, and your play will be tracked for a week. Should you be unlucky and not a winning player, then you will receive 30% cashback in your account on Monday up to a maximum of $300. That’s a nice silver lining to wake up to after a losing weekend at the tables.

Happy Hour (?)

This is one of their reload bonus promotions which they acknowledge is poorly named. Why is that? Well, the Happy “Hour” is actually 12 hours, and it is only available on one day of the week – Sunday. Regardless, should you remember to be logged in during that time, you can claim a 20% reload bonus up to a maximum of $100…a special treat no matter what hour of the 12 you choose to make your deposit!

VIP/Comp Program

The casino does offer a VIP and Comp program, but I have seen better offers at other casinos. Every player who is making real money wagers can earn points; they are earned at a rate of 1 point for every $16 wagered. This may or may not be on the high side; that all depends on what the conversion rate is to cash. That number, however, was nowhere to be found on their VIP page. This is frustrating because that value is needed to determine the real value of the program as a whole.

What they do promote is that there are several tiers to their VIP program, each coming with their own set of enhanced benefits. Again, I found this to be an underwhelming offer, as many of the advantages were vague in nature. Here is a snapshot of the different levels of the program:

Items like Customer Support and Monthly Newsletters are not part of a VIP program; they seem like they are just trying to pad the offer when they add lines like that. Regardless, at least there is something in place to reward loyal players, even if I can’t precisely determine to what degree.

Customer Service

While I already covered some of the issues that the casino has had in the past with its service department, they don’t seem to shy away from giving you multiple options to reach them. While they may not have a telephone number for you to dial, they do have a Live Chat button on the side of every page of their website. Also, you can use their contact form or customer service email address to reach the casino if you have any issues that should arise.

Would I Play at Vegas Paradise Casino

I would have to lean towards the side of saying yes, I would play there with my own hard-earned cash. My issues with the casino are not typical of a recreational gambler; the small selection of games I particularly enjoy is troublesome but not a show-stopper. The maximum cash out is annoying but really only becomes an issue if you are lucky enough to score a big win. So, if you are looking for good games and a very safe, regulated environment, then I would say give these guys a chance.
